TADA Adults Acting Group. Ladies and Gentlemen,,
The adults acting group is a working title to assemble adults forming a group that will be studying acting & drama with the purpose of appearing in an annual production. Many similar groups are called ‘amateur dramatics’ groups, however our ensemble will be different in as much as they will be professionally trained.
This will allow them to enjoy the experience of a good acting group but also offer the opportunity to go further and gain professional status at the end of that training, if they so desire.
Sounds exciting? Indeed it is. This will be a unique group and hopefully will attract the attention and good publicity such a project de serves. The numbers of the group are limited to 10 places which will be first offered to existing students of principle tutor & director Vince Gregory. There will be an audition/interview which will be designed to ensure that the group have ‘team players’ and genuine members wanting to achieve the best performance and production possible. The interview will be simple enough and contains questions about a candidate’s ability to attend and their sincererity. The audition part will be designed to show what ever natural abilities the candidate has no matter how limited.
There is no subscription charged but instead a fee for each tutorial session. The fee at present is £7 and will be charged a term in advance. Sessions will run for 10/11 week terms and there will be 3 terms in each year. The venue will be Fulmerston Church on Fulmerston Road Thetford. Fridays 7.30 till 10pm with a short coffee/tea break.
Please contact us ASAP if you wish to register for your interview on or interest to be part of this unique opportunity.
We can provide vocational pathways to work in acting, theatre. Besides acting, there are over 30 trades in the Theatre, TV and Film industry.
We are connected to major associations such as Equity the actors’ union and London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, (LAMDA) one of the world’s leading schools in drama and the spoken word and so we are well placed to help and advise graduate students.
Our training allows students to take serious steps towards a career as a performer, without interfering with their other studies and career choices.
